Guitar Lessons/ Testimonials

"Each student, from the start, has a natural direction they are heading. I like to help them find and travel their road."  Rob Stealcheat

I've enjoyed taking lessons with Rob for the past 2+ years.  I had some musical training, mainly in piano, before I started but was a beginner with guitar.  Exploring a new instrument has been a good experience, and Rob's patient and low-key approach has enhanced this.  I've also appreciated his flexibility in accommodating my schedule.  I've been pleased with the progress I'm making and look forward to seeing how far I may be able to go. "It was a lifelong dream of mine to play acoustic guitar and Rob made that happen for me. I started taking weekly lessons from Rob in September of 2010 and have loved his approach…he wants me to play my guitar and love doing it. As an adult returning to music lessons after 20 years, I wanted to relax and learn to play by ear – no more by-the-book practice and as few scales as possible. Rob makes learning to play fun and he is great at figuring out your natural strengths and helping you develop those."   Megan O.

I’d been trying to learn guitar for years, from bad teachers to getting frustrated with trying to learn on my own I basically gave up. I met rob, and started taking weekly lessons, and my guitar playing has greatly improved and my frustration with learning to play has ended. Rob is very skilled and knowledgeable at playing the guitar and he makes lessons fun, and relaxing. whether learning a riff or two, a song, or a simple chord, rob is patient and encouraging. He also does a good ensuring everything was understood. What makes it so great learning guitar with rob is, he's all about making the lesson and playing fun, which is how learning an instrument should be."  John M.
